CopyslateAffiliate terms
Who runs it
The program is run by AICHROM PRIVATE LIMITED, a company registered in India ("we", "us"), the maker of Copyslate. By creating an affiliate account you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and able to receive payments through PayPal or Wise.
Your link
Your account comes with a link of the form copyslate.com/r/name. Opening it stores a cookie in the visitor's browser for 60 days. If that visitor buys Copyslate on copyslate.com while the cookie is there, the sale is credited to you. If they open more than one affiliate link, the last one wins.
Only purchases made on copyslate.com through our payment provider, Paddle, count. Purchases on the Mac App Store go through Apple and cannot be tied to a link, so they earn nothing, even if the buyer came from you.
Commission
You earn 25% of the net price the buyer paid: the price after any discount, before tax and before payment fees, in US dollars. On the standard $9.99 license that is $2.50 per sale. The commission is recorded the moment Paddle confirms the payment and appears on your dashboard.
If a sale is refunded or charged back, the commission on it is reversed. If it had already been paid to you, the amount is deducted from your next payout.
Holds and payouts
Each commission is held for 30 days after the sale, which covers our 14-day refund window with room to spare. After that it is cleared and becomes payable.
We pay once a month, in the first week of the month, everything that cleared by then, as long as the cleared total is at least $10. Smaller amounts stay in your account and are paid as soon as the total reaches $10. Payment goes by PayPal or Wise to the account you set in your dashboard; keep it current, since a payment sent to the details on file counts as paid. We cover the transfer fee. Conversion into your own currency, if any, is at PayPal's or Wise's rate, and any tax on what you earn is yours to handle.
What you may not do
- Buy through your own link, or have people you pay or reward buy through it.
- Send unsolicited email or messages, or post your link where it is not welcome.
- Run search or social ads on the words "Copyslate" or "copyslate.com", or link to or imitate copyslate.com in ads.
- Present yourself as Copyslate or as our employee, or use our name or icon as if you were us.
- Make claims about Copyslate that are not true, including about prices and what it does.
- Drop the cookie without a real click: no hidden frames, redirects, scripts or rewarded clicks.
- Hide that you are an affiliate where the law where you publish requires a disclosure. A short note that you earn a commission is enough.
If we find any of this, we may reverse the commission involved and close the account.
Ending
You can close your account at any time by writing to us; we can end the program or your part in it at any time too. Either way, honest commission that has cleared is still paid at the next monthly run. Accounts with no sales for 12 months may be closed, with anything cleared paid out first.
Changes
We may change these terms, including the rate. Changes to the rate or the payout rules take effect 30 days after we email you about them, and apply to sales from then on, never to sales already made.
Your data
What we store about you, about clicks on your link and about the buyers you refer is described in the privacy policy. You see the date, amount and status of each sale, never the buyer's identity.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes about them are for the courts of India.
